Jun 11, 2023

The sinkhole was discovered during a reported water outage in the area on Monday night. Rt. 202 was then closed in both directions between Henderson Road and Saulin Boulevard just after 8 p.m. that night.

Crews with Pennsylvania American Water spent the next two days repairing the water main, filling the sinkhole with aggregate and stones, wrapping the fill in a geotextile fabric to stabilize the ground and installing a subbase before paving with asphalt and line striping the highway, officials said.
